In a youth convention at Chikhli in 1996, Sandesh realized the meaning of sin and it’s consequences and the cost that was paid by Jesus Christ for it and through Him one has new life in Christ. Rev. Vinay Gaikwad in his preaching shared a story of a sacrifice that an young girl made with her own life to save hundreds of people in a train. This sacrifice was a great example of what Christ had done for humankind. Till now Sandesh was born and brought up in a very spiritual Christian family but the salvation aspect was not necessarily addressed specifically. In this convention Sandesh understood the necessity of being saved and he accepted Christ as his Savior and started living a new life in Jesus Christ.
This was a major turning point in his life. He is constantly growing in Christ and constantly encourages his staff, colleagues, and any one who comes close to him to accept and follow Christ and grow deeper in relationship with Him.
He is very much impacted by Dr. Valta’s (Medical Adviser of Tuberculosis Project) statement, “We should proclaim Christ through our actions more than words.” He tries to practice this and promote this in every aspect of his life.
