The Beginning

cropped-AJOBA_AJI_HALF-1.jpgIt was 14th January 1898 that the Nazarene Missionaries landed in India and ministered at Igatpuri, near Mumbai. And as the Lord led them in the first decade of 20th Century the Nazarene Missionaries arrived in Buldana and Chikhli area. During their early evangelistic efforts Mr. Konduji Narayan Yangad was evangelized. Konduji found out that in Jesus Christ a person can be forgiven of his sins and can go to heaven. He embraced Christ. The missionaries brought him to their bungalow in Buldana and not only taught him the way of Christ but also taught him how to cook and earn for his livelihood.

Konduji’s father Narayan was furious over his decision to follow Christ. He persecuted Konduji thinking that he would return, but when his efforts failed he tried to kill Konduji. God was in control of Konduji’s life and saved his life through missionaries.

Konduji was a very courageous and a strong man. He was a ‘Lathi’ worrier.  At the same time he was a very generous, kind and compassionate person.

Konduji and Geetabai had thirteen Children. Nine daughters and four boys.
