She died due to spine injury caused when she had a fall from the bus and she ignored the pain and treatment. 10 to 12 years later when the back pain was unbearable she went for check-up and it was diagnosed that there was a gap in her spinal cord and she needed to go through a surgery. Jiwandas Yangad served her in the hospital all the time. Later on Jiwandas’s elder Sister Ashabai Nade and the Church of the Nazarene, Vikhroli (Western Maharashtra District) took care of the family. They helped the three girls grow spiritually and were safe. Their neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Chacko also kept close attention to the needs of the girls as Chacko Aunty had promised Kalpana on her death bed.
