Arvind K. Yangad was an eleventh child of Konduji Narayan Yagnad and was born on 14th June 1942 at RMH, Washim. He was widely known as Aaru and Arun.

He is probably the most known Yangad of all.

His primary education took place in Nazarene Mission School, Chikhli, and further college education at Washim. After finishing his college he earned his Diploma in Physical Education from Rajasthan and worked as a Physical Education Teacher at Bakliwal High School, Washim. He was a man of discipline and students were terrified by his discipline. So many students testify about his hard discipline.

He had also earned his BA.

Arvind was a sportsman and loved working out. A thousand push-ups were normal for him. He could stand on his head for a long time. He was a good swimmer. He could float on water in various positions effortlessly. He could run for kilometers. Football, Volleyball, Wrestling, Long Jump, High Jump, Javelin Throw, Shot Put were some of his favorites. He was a hunter as well.

He liked challenges in his life.

If he decided on something no one could stop him from doing that. Once he rode a bicycle all the way to Umri from Washim about 200 kilometers just to see his elder brother and family there.

He was never afraid of anything. He was a man of great courage. He was very generous. He would always help people in real need.

God had given him so much of discernment that he would recognize a type of person within a few moments and could tell what were the intentions of the person. He was a good student of people and had a very strong grip on politics.

He was a man of prayer. He would spend hours reading his Bible and prayer.

So many people would come to him with various situations and he would definitely provide them some or other solutions.

Anyone who came at his door at any hour of the day or night definitely received treatment like a king. He was a man of hospitality.

He was married to Shirin Moses Modak (BD- 22nd September 1945) from Nandurbar. She was a Nurse at RMH, Washim.  They got married at Nandurbar, SAM Church on 04th June 1969.

After the birth of their first son, God called him to full-time ministry and he resigned his Teacher’s job, and along with his wife Shirin and son Rajiv they went to South India Biblical Seminary, Bangarapet, Karnataka.

After coming back from there in 1975 he was appointed at Mehkar Nazarene Church as a Pastor. After one and half years he had fixed all the problems of that Church and he was transferred to Pusad Nazarene Church. There he served for 13 years. From there he planted 3 New Churches and renewed on Church.

In 1989 he was appointed as a District Superintendent of Eastern Maharashtra District (Now Central Maharashtra District).  He remained DS till 2008 and his elder son Rev. Rajiv succeeded him.

Rev. Arvind went to be with the Lord 03rd July 2013 at Chikhli, at the age of 71.

1. Rev. Rajiv Arvind Yangad (BD- 19th July 1970). He is married to Mona Walter Timothy, also known as Sofia (BD- 18th October 1972) from Nagpur. They were married in Nazarene Conference Chapel, Chikhli, and their marriage was solemnized by Rev. S.T. Gaikwad. They have two daughters Shreya (BD- 10th October 2001) and Shruti (BD- 28th July 2005). They reside in Chikhli.

Rev. Rajiv has earned his B.Th. from SIBS, Bangarapet, and has studied towards his M.Th. at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, TX, USA.

He is a District Superintendent of Central Maharashtra District, Church of the Nazarene.

Mona has her BA as well as PG Diploma in Travels and Tourism.

2. Mr. Sanjiv Arvind Yangad also known as Sanju (BD- 05th October 1976). He was born in RMH, Washim. He has earned his BA. He is married to Monalisa Charles Modak (BD- 14th April 1978) from Dhulia. They were married in Nazarene Conference Chapel, Chikhli, and their marriage was solemnized by Rev. Dr. Padmakar Meshramkar on 19th July 2002. Sanjiv is an administrator of Hallelujah English School, Chikhli.

Monalisa has earned her BA and she is the Principal of Hallelujah English School, Chikhli. She has also earned her M.Div. from UBS in 2016.

They have two Children: Son is Geet (BD- 03rd June 2003). He was born in Buldana and their Daughter is Preet (02nd October 2011) she was also born in Buldana.

Sanjeev and Monalisa are also Pastors and are leading a congregation in Malkapur, Dist. Buldana.

3. Rev. Mrs. Shradha Nitin Saraf (BD- 18th July 1980). She was born in RMH, Washim. She is married to Rev. Nitin Kiran Saraf (BD- 28th June 1975). They got married in Nazarene Conference Chapel, Chikhli, and their marriage was solemnized by Late Rev. S. T. Gaikwad on 18th May 2005.

They have a son Spandan (BD- 04th December 2007).

Rev. Mrs. Shradha has earned her D.Ed. from Ethel Gordon D.Ed. College, Pune; Post Graduate Diploma in Counseling from SIBS, Bangarapet; M.Div. from UBS, Pune.

Rev. Nitin Saraf is a grandson of Late Rev. Haribhau D. Saraf. He has earned his B.Th. from Chennai; M.Div. from SIBS, Bangarapet; M.Th. from Acts Academy, Bangalore.

They both co-pastored Chikhli Nazarene Church, Chikhli for 7 years and are currently pursuing their Ph.D. at APNTS, Philippines.
