Mebalbai was a fifth child of Konduji and Geetabai.

She was born in Buldana on 12th March 1930.

She was married to Pastor Bramhanand Phalnikar (BD- 21st December). They got married in Buldana. Dr. Orpah Spicher had asked Mebalbai to assist her and other medical staff of RMH Washim in all medical work. While assisting there she got trained as a nurse.

Pastor Bramhanand served as a Pastor in Mehkar, Wadshed, Bhokardan, Mangrulpir, Malwandi (here he served for 12 years) with Church of the Nazarene.  From Malwandi they shifted to Washim for few months, moved to Yavatmal where Mebalbai worked as a Montessori teacher. All four girls studied in Umri Mission Boarding School for one year. After that they shifted to Ulhasnagar, Dist. Thane in later part of their life. While in Ulhasnagar Mebalbai worked in Sion Hospital and then in Kasturba Hospital as a Nurse.

Their Children are:

1. Madhuri John D’Souza (BD- 02nd July 1948) 2nd-4th standard studied at Nazarene Mission Boarding School Chikhli.

2. Late Nilam Phalnikar (BD- 24th March 1950 – 25th December 1989)

3. Jayashree Dilip Meshram (BD- 06th April 1952)

4. Rekha Ravikant Savantsare (BD- 06th August 1954) (Marriage Anniversary 12th May 1976).

Rekhabai’s Children are: Ester Sanjay Waghamare (BD- 28th July 1977), Persis Ishwar Abraham (BD- 08th February 1981), Tryphena David Jagtap (BD- 13th January 1983), Stuti Sanjay Sonawane (BD- 29th September 1986), Isaac (BD- 26th November 1990).

5. Deepa (BD- 05th September 1956, she died at the age of 28 months due to meningitis in Umri, Dist. Yavatmal).
