Shruti Rajiv Yangad
I am Shruti, daughter of Rev. Rajiv Arvind Yangad and Mrs. Mona Rajiv Yangad.
I am in a 6th standard and I am studying at Hallelujah English School, Chikhli.
I like talking with my Dad while I fall a sleep. He talks and shares Bible stories, faith stories of our family with me. As we talk some times I get questions in my mind and I ask him those questions and he answers.
On 19th April 2016 I asked several questions to my Dad. One of the questions was who can go to heaven? He asked the same question back to me. I answered and said, those who do good things and those who are good people. But my Dad explained that it was not enough, he continued and said, if some one is not forgiven of his sins by the Lord Jesus Christ then he can’t go to heaven in spite of their good works and being good.
Then he asked me what has Jesus Christ done for us. I said, He has brought us in the world, and He provides for us and so on. But Dad asked what has Jesus done for us in order to go to heaven. I said He died for us. Then Dad explained how Jesus’s death was on our behalf.
Then he asked me what would happen if I died tonight. I said, I will not go to heaven. He said, why do you say that. I said because my sins are not forgiven. I am still a sinner. Then my dad said, what should you do? I told him that I need to ask forgiveness of my sins. He encouraged and asked if I’d like to ask forgiveness to Jesus right now. And I said, Yes! He woke my Mom up, she was asleep, and said, our daughter wants ask Jesus in her life and they both prayed and helped me pray a prayer of forgiveness. This happened at 12:15am.
Next morning as soon as I woke up, I went and shared my testimony with my grand mom (Mrs. Shirin A. Yangad), and Shreya my sister and cousins Geet, Preet and Spandan and with their parents as well. They all were so happy, they all congratulated me and praised God for my salvation and cried with me full of joy.
Now I am a saved girl. I have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and I am going to share this good news of salvation to as many as possible.
